Three Things to Get You Back on Track With Your Yearly Health Goals

This post is sponsored by Simple Mills, but all opinions are my own.

For a lot of people working from home can be difficult, especially when it comes to healthy eating choices. I made a goal for myself, to lose the 15 lbs I gained last year. I was doing great up until lately, I have slowly started snacking again as I continue to work from home. So after reassessing my goals and my snack triggers, I have come up with three things to help me get back on track and stick to my wellness goals.

  1. Eat Breakfast – This sounds pretty simple but working at home, I tend to skip breakfast and replace it with my morning cup of coffee. By mid morning I am snacking because I skipped breakfast. I tend to skip breakfast because I am busy first thing in the morning. I don’t have time to cook before I start work. Therefore, Simple Mills Soft Baked Almond Flour Bars are perfect to grab in the morning before I log into work. They go great with my morning cup of coffee and a few strawberries to help me stay full until lunch. They also curb my sweet tooth that I normally get mid-morning because they are naturally sweetened with honey & molasses, full of nuts, seeds, and fruit pieces for a satisfying blend of textures and flavors.

2. Drink Water – Drinking water at least 8 glasses a day really does help you snack less because it helps to keep you full throughout the day. I like to add fruit to my water to help give it a little flavor as well as make me think I am drinking a fancy drink.

3. Find Snack Alternatives – The reality is we are going to snack every now and then; especially when you are working. So I have found snack alternatives to help me make more wiser choices that will get me closer to meeting my health goals. If you follow me you know I love my charcuterie and cheese boards. However, they tend to be more on the sweet side. So I have found ways to still enjoy my boards while sticking to my goals. I replaced candy with fruits and veggies on my board with low calorie dips. I also replaced my regular crackers with wholesome Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers. They are made with a wholesome blend of almond flour, sunflower seeds & flax seeds, 3g of protein per serving, and are Gluten Free and Paleo Friendly.

Making these three small changes have really helped me get back on track and stick to my yearly goals. If you are interested in trying Simple Mills products check them out at your local Walmart. Let me know how you are sticking to your wellness goals.
